For those who like nature, it must be quite a heaven as there are great opportunities to explore most of the natural biotopes of Lower Austria and some of the rather special inhabitants, such as the Lynx. Currently, there are many nature parks that preserve different kinds of habitats and inhabitants, including lynxes, wild boars and butterflies.

The area is arduous for the experienced tramp, and successes only offer an opportunity to get an outstanding view of the lynx’s territory and other natural beauty of the region. Even though they are elusive, lynxes are noticeable along the entire journey. Hikers can enjoy the tranquility of the forest and establish a connection with the lynx’s home, the wildness, even though sightings are few. 

The lynx’s presence in these untamed, mountainous areas serves as a significant symbol for wilderness conservation, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding the remaining natural habitats.
